Dads at Desks: Fathers Day 2026 Giveaway | Win up to $5000 worth of prizes
Posted by Mary Gene Tagaylo on
There’s a lot out there celebrating heroes… emergency services, defence, construction crews… and calendars to match. 🙄
But this Father’s Day, we want to celebrate a different kind of legend.
The men behind the desks, the emails, the warehouse doors and phone calls. The silent warriors who strategically keep businesses, families and dreams moving in the background while helping others chase adventure. So, this Fathers Day, we've teamed up with some of our favourite adventure brands to create the Dads at Desks draw.
Enter now for a chance to win $5,000 worth of adventure gear for your next escape, and meet some of these heroes along the way.
For Tim, the outdoors has always been a family affair. He grew up caravanning around the country with his parents and two brothers, and that love of getting out and exploring never left him. After 20 years across consulting, corporate and software businesses, it was exactly that passion that led him to Optitec.
These days, home base is just as busy. Tim and his wife Kate are raising three boys, Hudson (11), Darcy (8) and Fletcher (7), which means weekends are a happy blur of kids' sport, the occasional cheeky round of golf, and as much time waterskiing up on the Murray as they can manage. Whether he's on the sideline, on the boat, or helping other families get set up for their own adventures, Tim's happiest when the whole crew is together.
We asked them, "Do you know what Dad does for work?", see video.
Optitec has contributed a $2,625 Optimover to the prize pool.
For Shane, the touring lifestyle isn't something he took up. It's something he's never been without. He grew up on Sydney's Northern Beaches in a family always out camping and that love of exploring never left him.
Before MSA he had a crack at just about everything, from outboard mechanic and plumber to ice fisherman in Canada and even private investigator. But he could never stop tinkering, so when he couldn't find the touring gear he wanted, he built it himself. That habit became MSA 4X4 back in 2000, and all these years on he's still designing gear he'd happily throw in his own rig.
Home base is busy too. Shane and his wife Tameka have a blended family of seven, and off the clock you'll find him on his Harley or up at K'gari every chance he gets. Whether he's helping a customer sort their setup or loading up for the next trip, Shane treats every rig like it's one of his own.
MSA 4x4 has contributed a $1,000 gift voucher to the prize pool.
For Michael, the touring lifestyle isn’t just a job—it’s who he is. After years in the four-wheel drive industry, he and his family completed a lap around Australia, where a clever caravanning product made life on the road so much easier that, when they returned, he asked for a job with the company behind it (that's Flat Out if you hadn't guessed 😉). His passion even inspired his son's name—Hemi, after the iconic V8 engine. Whether he's helping others prepare for their next adventure or exploring the great outdoors with Hemi by his side, Michael simply can't stay away from the camping and touring life he loves.
We asked Hemi, "What does Daddy do for work?", see this video.
Flat Out has contributed a $875 gift voucher to the prize pool.
For Brian, EVAKOOL isn't just where he works, it's nearly two decades of hands-on craft. Eighteen years on the production line means there's not much of a Down Under he hasn't welded, built or pressure-tested himself. If your fridge freezer has ever kept the snags cold on a weekend away, there's a good chance Brian had a hand in it before it ever left the factory floor.
Home tells a similar story of always being on the move. Brian and his wife are raising two kids, 6 and 9, which means weekends are a juggle of soccer boots, cricket pads and a fridge already packed for the next family trip. Camping is a regular fixture for the crew, and knowing every unit that rolls off his line has been checked, tested and built to last means Brian never has to wonder if his own fridge will pull its weight.
EVAKOOL has contributed a $500 gift voucher to the prize pool.
One lucky winner will take away $5000 worth of products for their Caravan/RV.
