You'll be surprised how many caravans and boats in Australia have this American-style water inlet installed. If your tank inlet looks like the one in the image, it has a 3/4 GHT (Garden Hose Thread) or NPT (US thread) — which isn't the same as the BSP fittings found in Australian hardware stores. A standard 3/4 BSP fitting will look right and seem to fit for a couple of turns, but will leak when pressurised.
This US thread to BSP adaptor has the correct thread for your RV or caravan water inlet, plus an ultra-handy swivel elbow. The brass snap fittings of your Flat Out hoses work best on brass, and the downward-pointing elbow gives you the ideal connection angle.
