How to Repair Your Flat Out Drink Water Hose

A small hole in your drink water hose does not always mean the whole hose needs replacing. With a Flat Out End Repair Kit or Join Repair Kit, you can repair the damaged section and keep using your hose on the road.

What You’ll Need
- Flat Out End Repair Kit or Join Repair Kit
- Screwdriver
- Sharp hose cutter or suitable cutting tool
How to Repair Your Hose
Step 1: Find the Damaged Section
Locate the hole or damaged area in the hose. Mark it clearly so you know where to cut.
Step 2: Cut Below the Hole
Cut the hose below the damaged section, making sure the hole is completely removed.
Step 3: Slide on the Rubber Sleeve
Take the rubber sleeve from the repair kit and slide it over the cut end of the hose.
The rubber helps spread the load when the clamp is tightened, protecting the hose from damage.
Step 4: Insert the Barbed Brass Fitting
Push the 19 mm brass barbed fitting into the hose.
Make sure it is seated properly. The clamp should sit over the top barb, while still leaving enough room for the outer snap fitting ring to slide down when in use.
Step 5: Position the Hose Clamp
Place the stainless steel hose clamp over the rubber sleeve and align it over the barb.
Step 6: Tighten the Clamp
Use a screwdriver to tighten the clamp firmly. Once tightened, the fitting should be secure and ready to use.
End Repair vs Join Repair Kit
The End Repair Kit repairs the end of the hose.
The Join Repair Kit is essentially two end repair kits with a standard hose joiner. It allows you to cut out a damaged section from the middle of the hose and create two usable hose lengths.
The longer section can go back on your Multi-Reel, while the shorter section can be rolled up and stored separately.
Final Check
Before regular use, connect the hose and test it under pressure to make sure the repair is secure and leak-free.
