We want to shine a light on inspiring women who, like us, started with a simple idea and turned it into something that makes life on the road easier. These female-led businesses have built trusted RV and caravan brands designed to support real travel experiences. 

Last month, we came together to collaborate on a prize draw worth over $1,500, and the draw took place on 20th February. Congratulations to our winner, Eric Warwick! 🎉

Here’s a little about each of these amazing women
their journey into the RV world, and the clever creations that make life on the road that much better.

For Tara Cameron-Smith, founder of Dreamer RV, the idea was born on the open road. In 2016, while travelling Australia with her husband Jim and their two young sons, she discovered that the biggest challenge of life on the road wasn’t space – it was sleep.

For Kylie Fanning, founder and managing director of BBQARM, the idea was sparked from her family’s love of the outdoors. Travelling Australia with her husband and two children, Kylie found herself constantly looking for ways to keep their outdoor setup and cooking hub neater, simpler and more practical.

MeanderWild was founded by two sisters-in-law who wanted to make caravan life easier for families on the road. The business began after they repeatedly bought expensive bedding for their caravans, only to find it didn’t fit properly or stay in place. Frustrated, they set out to create practical bedding designed specifically for caravans: pieces that fit well, wash well, and help everyone sleep better so the journey feels smoother.

Starting in Langwarrin with a handful of ideas and a sewing machine, MeanderWild has grown into a range loved by travelling families, weekend wanderers, and big-lap dreamers. The focus is simple: thoughtful design, quality materials, and products that make life in a small space more comfortable and connected.
